Dr. Balthazar is a biobehavioral clinical and translational scientist. Her research focuses on the immunometabolic mechanisms underpinning sleep in vulnerable populations, specifically, people living with HIV. The goal of her current research project is identifying significant metabolites and metabolic pathways to sleep in Black adults living with HIV.
